Q: How do I transfer my files another computer?
A: The are a few ways to do this.
- The easiest way for CQUEST users is to use your computer at home to
transfer the files. You'll need modem and access to an internet service
provider (ISP) for the connection. You will need the appropriate software to
connect to your ISP. You will need to have a "Secure FTP (sftp)"
program on your computer in order to transfer files. We recommend using a
free program called winscp. The sftp server name for CQUEST is
(login.cquest.utoronto.ca), insert your CQUEST login id and password in
the appropriate places.
- If you are on campus, you can transfer files by copying files onto a USB
flash drive.
